Invitation

On behalf of Council and our Scientific Program Committee, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all members of the Association to join us in Brisbane in May 2008 for our next Annual Scientific Meeting.

The theme of the 2008 meeting is "Broad Horizons" and this is a fitting concept for the continually expanding knowledge of the fundamental mechanisms, pathophysiology, diagnostic techniques and therapies for neurological disorders. There will be a major theme on movement disorders and Professor Andrew Lees, from the National Hospital Queen Square, will be a keynote speaker. Other keynote speakers are Professor Thomas Gasser from Germany (neurodegeneration and neurogenetics) and Professor Tom Crawford from the USA (spinal and neuromuscular disorders). This promises to be an outstanding meeting.

Broad Horizons is also an apppropriate title for a meeting in Brisbane, the most rapidly growing capital city in Australia and a great conference destination. The program promises to be our best yet and will provide an excellent opportunity to catch up with colleagues.

The social program will involve some intriguing innovations, including ANZAN Idol. Don't miss it!

I look forward to seeing you in Brisbane.
